“ I had a phenomenal first shopping experience here. Wide aisles, huge store, great product variety. For bargain shoppers who stretch dollars, it's a paradise!. I grabbed an 11 lb turkey for $3 with $30 in groceries (28c a pound). I came out with $60 in groceries! Great meat bargains--ham steaks half price, 8 hot dogs for $1, $5 rotisserie chicken. Many $1 items. You do have to be "price savvy"...some tricky non-deals (BOGO pecans that were small and really only 50c cheaper than huge ones in another brand). The clerks were super friendly & helpful, store was clean, items were bagged properly. I don't get this from my Winn Dixie! They have a fabulous $4 lunch special of hot entrée, side & roll. (meatloaf, lasagna, chicken breast) CON: There were several spillages that had not been cleaned up (yogurt, blue drink) and a dead motorized cart in the aisle. Entrance door is awkwardly located. Definitely will put this store on my rotation. ”

I love to shop in Harvey's because their employees are always helpful, nice and polite, some of the employees are the same people who worked at the Winn Dixie there before Harvey's moved in. When I heard Harvey's was coming in and taking over, I wondered if the prices would be lower or some what better. No worries, the prices are lower, and the package deals such as mix and match five items of meat, seafood, sandwiches, bacon, sausage, smoked ham lunch meat, large hotdogs, and things like Hushpuppies and more are a fantastic deal at $19.95! I mean where else do you find that kind of deal every single day, all year long? Maybe a meat market once in a blue moon you might find this kind of deal. I wondered also if I would recognize brands they had, no worries there either with brand I grew up with in my home state of Virginia, and states like North Carolina, West Virginia,Tennessee and Georgia, where I lived also. Many of the meat brands I grew up with, like Carolina brand meats, Virginia brand meats....and many more brands I know trust and love! I am so, so very happy to be able to buy these things once again and serve them to my family. My husband loves these recognized brands also, and actually got excited when he saw them. He said boy we ate these when I was growing up, how about you, are we getting this or that?! Of course I got what he and I wanted that first time in Harvey's! They have a One Dollar Section, that cannot be missed, you might not recognize the brands, but they are good and taste great! You can get large 4.5 oz bottles of spices, bacon bits. Soups, dip mixes, vegetables, Chips infact Wise Brand Chips are in the dollar section! You can get dollar bottles of drinks that are a nice size, like Arizona bottle drinks! In the Dollar Section there are too many bargains than there is time or room here to list. When you first come in Harvey's you see the section that has buy one get one deals that are great all the time. Yes Harvey's is geared to the lower income people, as the neighborhoods like Woodland Estates where we live, and also one of my daughters use to lived, and Combee Settlement where we have lived are also are low income, but that don't mean we who live and shop at Harvey's are bad people...We work hard and live within our means that is why we are happy for a supermarket like Harvey's in our neighborhood, low prices and wonderful deals that allow you to get more for your shopping dollar, and that's always a good thing. If you want to pay more and risk blowing your shopping budget big time, then go to Publix and shop. Nothing wrong with Publix, but it is a tad bit expensive for my food and house hold items shopping budget. Harvey's suits me and my family and friends who live in our neighborhood just fine! Low Income...So Be It! In these days and times you need a break every chance you get and Harvey's Supermarkets does just that for you! I can truly say Harvey's Get's it, and goes out of their way to make sure people get the best value for their shopping dollars! As for me I ain't fancy, and I know how to make my shopping dollars count! Because we shop mainly at Harvey's Supermarket, and the Dollar General and Hands Produce I can afford to get some extras to put into my husbands lunch and extras for that sweet tooth he has ! Oh don't get me started on the Hands Produce and the Combee Road Dollar General...I love both of these places too! Thank You Harvey's Supermarket for coming to our neighborhood, we have needed you for a very long time trust that, and now that you are here to stay I, my family and friends and neighbors have a great low price store that fits right in with our spending dollars!
